How to make the easiest olive bread

I hit the jackpot in the kitchen today and made epic bread that requires no kneading or equipment! I don’t know why it’s taken me this long to get into making bread?! This recipe is totally monkey proof!

1 Loaf


    • 3 cups of plain flour
    • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
    • 2 teaspoons of salt
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    • 1 1/3 cups of warm water
    • 1 cup of pitted olives - I used green and black


      • Combine the dry ingredients into a bowl: plain flour, instant yeast, salt, garlic powder, dried oregano and mix well.
      • Add 1 1/3 cups of warm water and keep stirring the mixture thoroughly.
      • Add 1 cup of pitted olives sliced in half to the mixture.
      • Mix it thoroughly until you reach the proper consistency.
      • Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rest for 2-3 hours.
      • Dust your hands with flour to prevent the dough from sticking.
      • Knead the dough and place it into an oven proof pot lined with baking paper.
      • Sprinkle a little amount of flour and salt flakes or any coarse salt.
      • Cover with lid and place into the oven at 200 C for 30 minutes.
      • Remove the lid and bake for a further 10 minutes until golden brown.
      • Remove the date bread from the oven. Slice it and voila the best date bread is ready to serve and enjoy.
